What is your definition of healing and recovery?

Define “healing” and “recovery”.  What relationships in your life require healing?  How does that parallel your relationship with food in terms of healing?

  1. For me, healing is an ongoing process, not something that “hits” you and then you’re complete. Just as life and growth are processes, so is healing. We learn and ~become~ along the way from individuals, social connections, spiritual guidance, and from our insight. This growth leads us back to where we always were: right here, right now, with that perfection that we always have/had inside. That’s healing. Being able to let go & just be. A place like Inner Door Center is grounded in this mindfulness, and I believe has mentored me along the path of my own professional direction.
